Grand Millennium Dubai Hotel has announced the promotion of Mr. Oussama Chalak as Resident Manager. He has been with the hotel for over 6 years, previously held the position of Director of Rooms, and before that he was appointed Director of Revenue at Grand Millennium Dubai.
A Lebanese national who hold a Business degree from Computer International College in Beirut, and Career Development Certificate in Hotel Revenue Management from Cornell University. Mr. Chalak is multilingual and well experienced in cultural diversities. He has been in the hotel industry for over 15 years, starting his career with Hilton Hotels, and relocating within the Gulf region between UAE, Kuwait and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with international names in the hospitality world.
According to Mr. Peter Mansourian, General Manager, Grand Millennium Dubai, Oussama’s thorough grounding in hotel reservations, revenue management, team leadership and operations make him an ideal candidate to take over as Resident Manager.
Mr. Chalak will be assisting the general manager in day-to-day operations of the Hotel, focusing on maximizing profitability and maintaining superior product and service standards across all departments. “With six years’ experience at the Grand Millennium Dubai, plus a thorough knowledge of the regional hospitality sector, Oussama is a real asset to the hotel” he said.
The move to operations is an excellent step up on the career path added Mr. Chalak, who relishes the challenges this position will bring: “While revenue generation is key to success for any hotel, additional -on the ground- interface is a bonus in this new role and one to which I am looking forward,” he said.
